The District has taken steps to protect the Maricopa community from data and privacy issues by implementing TikTok restrictions. As the Office of General Counsel communicated in May, federal restrictions on TikTok apply to the System. In June, the District successfully implemented system-wide network, service, and system changes to scan, remove, and prevent the use of TikTok on Maricopa Community College District-issued devices and the District’s business networks. Students, faculty, and staff may continue to use TikTok on personal devices over guest networks.
