Academic Technology
The Academic Technology team manages over 20 enterprise applications, including learning management systems, constituent relationship management software, marketing automation tools, IT service management, and data automation. They work closely with the Provost’s Academic and Student Affairs team and various stakeholder groups to enhance the student experience and improve student success, using state-of-the-art cloud computing and artificial intelligence capabilities. This team also develops and supports Maricopa’s award-winning ASSIST platform.
Infrastructure and Customer Care
The Infrastructure and Customer Care team is responsible for delivering critical infrastructure and connectivity services throughout Maricopa, including the management of two data centers (District Office and Scottsdale Airpark) and the provisioning of internet, WAN, identity and access management, telephony, help desk (employee and student), desk side, virtual, chat, and drive through customer support, server and client endpoint management, database administration, and server management. The team also provides onsite customer support at District Office, Emerald Point, Wood Street Contact and Financial Aid Verification Center, and Maricopa Public Safety locations.
Information Security
The Information Security Team is responsible for safeguarding Maricopa against cybersecurity threats by developing and implementing policies, deploying threat detection measures, responding to incidents, and providing training. The team invests in staff, internships, partnerships, and tools to protect Maricopa and collaborates closely with IT teams and cybersecurity professionals across the District.
Enterprise Resource Planning
The Enterprise Resource Planning team oversees centrally-managed systems such as student information, human capital management, financial management, and budget reporting. They also provide identity and access management services, library technical services, and manage a business intelligence team supporting data transfer to the colleges.
Administrative Operations and Communications
The Administrative Operations and Communications team plays a crucial role in the organization by managing various tasks such as customer communication, overseeing business practices, auditing production changes to central services, budget planning, procurement and expenditures, employee morale, training coordination, initiative tracking and metrics toward completion, as well as talent management. They also serve as the central point of contact for technology support for faculty and staff by responding to all questions and coordinating college and ITS resources.
